About meMy name is Matias, and I was born and raised in Buenos Aires. I have a degree in Literature and Linguistics from the University of Buenos Aires, where I studied Spanish Grammar as a Foreign Language. I am 33 years old, and I have been a teacher for over nine years. Fortunately I have had the chance to travel, seeing Europe, the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Bolivia, Colombia and Cuba. I also lived in Spain for a time. Read more.

"I have been studying Spanish part time in Sydney, Australia for about 3 years. One week of personal tuition with Matias improved my Spanish enormously! He was able to explain various things which had been confusing me for some time, and with which I often made mistakes. Moreover, we covered a lot of new material, and I am able to express myself much more now. He made things like the imperfect subjunctive, the conditional, por vs para, and much much more, seem simple! Matias is a patient, funny and warm teacher and I enjoyed studying with him very much. His classes were great value for money, included many different activites, and I recommend him without hesitation."

Muchas gracias!!!!

Audrey and Wes"Matias is a remarkably talented and effective teacher. He knows the material, of course, but that's just the start. He also knowshow to teach well: how to say just the right thing to help you learn, and how to say nothing when you need to work it out on your own. When working with him in January 2011, I made real progress after each hour. Incredible! Work with Matias was never easy, but it was always an appropriate level of challenge, and it was never frustrating. It was justfun, good work. As a teacher myself, I am extremely demanding of other teachers. Matias exceeded even my standards. I'd work with him again in a heartbeat, and I recommend anyone interested in learning Spanish do the same." San Francisco, USA |
